 "Max"

DOB: 16 November 1991- 14 July 2003

 Max, our lovely boy, was our orginal Field Spaniel at Manunga Kennels.  Purchased from Stephdie Kennels in 1992 from their orginal imports.  Max became an Australian Champion in 1993 and we were delighted when he won Best of Breed at the 1993 Melbourne Royal Show under Mrs D Kodner (USA) at the age of 1 1/2, which at this stage was the largest gathering of Field Spaniels in Australia.  Max was a great ambassador for the breed having won many Best in Group  and Class in Show awards at many major Championship shows.  He paved the way for the future Manunga Field Spaniels to come. 

As a sire, Max has produced multiple Australian Champions including the well known Aust Ch Silverbirch To The Max(Smarty).  Max had a great loving nature and loved nothing better than chasing his ball and smiling for the crowd. He is still greatly missed at Manunga today.
